Demi Lovato is entering 2019 with plenty of gratitude in her heart.
The singer and actress, who suffered a drug overdose in July, took to Instagram stories to thank those who have been there for her ahead of her New Years Eve celebration. She is also making a promise to herself not to take anything for granted in the future.
“So grateful for the lessons I’ve learned this year,” she wrote on Sunday.
“I will never take another day in life for granted, even the bad ones. Thankful for my fans, friends, family, and everyone who supported me throughout this year. God bless.”
Lovato kept her partying low-key by staying in and sipping Martinelli’s sparkling apple cider to ring in the new year in Aspen. She shared a photo of her drink of choice with a large hashtag saying, #SOBRIETY.
The hitmaker has recently been seen enjoying her time back home in Los Angeles, popping up all over town with new boyfriend, Henry Levy. The pair were also photographed in the popular Colorado city, where they welcomed 2019 together.
Their budding romance has been criticized due to how quickly it happened after she completed rehab. Although Levy has already shared a video to his private Instagram page showing the couple kissing, Lovato is not yet ready to discuss what happened or what is currently happening in her life.
She has promised to share everything in due time, however.
“Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up sh*t that you know nothing about,” she posted on her official Twitter account.
