Cardi B will be taking the stage at the 2018 American Music Awards and she'll be joined by collaborators J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Oh how the general market has warmed up to Latin music and we're here for it all!
The trio will perform their chart-topping song, "I Like It" in Cardi's first televised performance since welcoming daughter Kulture on July 10th. The tune helped earn the rapper her second Billboard Hot 100 to hit #1, following in the footsteps of "Bodak Yellow's" success. Her collaboration with Maroon 5 titled "Girls Like You" is her third and final #1 thus far.
The new mom is nominated for a jaw-dropping eight awards, tying rapper Drake. Fellow Latina Camila Cabello earned five nominations of her own. Cabello and Cardi B are competing in the Favorite Female Artist Rock/Pop category as well as New Artist of the Year.
J Balvin is nominated for Favorite Artist Latin where he'll go head-to-head against heavy hitters Daddy Yankee and Ozuna.
The 2018 American Music Awards will air on Tuesday, October 9th on ABC, live from the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. Hosting duties will be performed by Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross.
