Nicole Richie Expands Fashion Empire!

Nicole Richie’s becoming a mogul on the down low! Us Weekly is reporting that the 30-year-old fashion designer is designing a new collection for QVC.

The line by the part-Mexican designer will launch in February, around the same time as the premiere of her new reality program Fashion Star. Richie serves as a mentor on the NBC show, alongside pop singer Jessica Simpson and fellow designer John Varvatos.

A source said Richie’s new QVC line "can be worn by teeny-tiny girls but also goes up to size XXXL.”

“Nicole has a great fashion sense, and she's very hands-on,” the source added.

Of course, we already knew Richie has a great fashion sense. Three years ago, the former reality TV star launched the clothing line House of Harlow 1960 (named after her 3-year-old daughter) and this past summer, expanded the line to include super cute handbags.

Richie’s work has definitely garnered her attention in the fashion industry. This past Monday in New York City, she was named Influencer of the Year at the Accessories Council Excellence Awards

In an interview with WWD, Richie said success in fashion isn’t measured by dollar signs. “It’s really about paying attention to feedback and talking to my customer,” she said. “I really try and focus on them and create what they’re expecting of me.”

And just because she’s a mother of two doesn’t meant Richie hasn’t switched up her style, “I’m still wearing five-inch heels and my fashion really hasn’t changed at all,” she insists.

For Richie, fashion comes easy. “It’s not that deep for me,” she told WWD. “It’s whatever I feel comfortable in at that time.”

Congrats to Richie on her new QVC fashion collection! We can’t wait to see what it looks like.
