If you have a multilingual household, Google has your back. The internet giant's popular Google Assistant speaker is going multilingual.

What this means for families that speak up to two languages at once, is that they'll be able to command their speakers in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Japanese.

For many of our readers, English and Spanish are spoken at home. Now you won't have to choose between the two when using any of the Google Assistant features.

If you already own one of their speakers, you will need to update the preferences via your Google Home app. According to a representative from Google, the company will be rolling out updates for the Assistant allowing you to add this feature in the coming days.

Trilingual families have not been forgotten. Google said in a release announcing this new feature that they're actively working on making the Assistant capable of handling up to three languages in the near future.
